Flag Insurance (Brokers) is an experienced insurance broker specialising in cover for taxi drivers and their vehicles. As a trading name of Acorn Insurance and Financial Services Limited, Flag Insurance (Brokers) focuses on helping private hire, public hire and hackney carriage drivers arrange reliable cover with straightforward support and specialist knowledge of the trade.

We also specialise in supporting drivers who may have previous claims, motoring convictions or points on their licence, helping you understand your options and arrange appropriate cover.

We offer three main levels of taxi insurance to suit your needs to keep you on the road.
Comprehensive cover
Our highest level of cover, including damage to your own vehicle (even if you’re at fault), fire, theft and accidental damage. It also covers damage to other vehicles or property, injuries to other people, and includes benefits such as windscreen repairs, giving you peace of mind in most everyday taxi driving situations.
Third Party, Fire & Theft (TPFT) cover
Covers damage or injury you cause to other people, plus protection if your vehicle is stolen or damaged by fire. It doesn’t cover damage to your own vehicle after a fault accident.
Third Party Only (TPO) cover
The minimum level of cover required by law, protecting you if you damage someone else’s vehicle or property or injure another person, but not covering your own vehicle.
